REAR SPOILER

The rear spoiler helps to add downforce, while an elongated, yet tapered, rear bumper design helps to keep drag to 0.26 Cd.

SIDE SILLS

The side sills continue the work started at the front of the car - helping to generate additional downforce compared to standard GT-R models.

FENDER VENTS

Aerodynamic vents come from the GT3 racing program and enhance downforce.

FRONT/REAR
BUMPER DESIGN

The front of the GT-R NISMO sends cooling air to the engine, while also directing airflow to send cooling air to the brakes. The elongated, yet tapered, rear fascia helps keep drag to just 0.26 Cd.

CARBON-FIBER HOOD, BUMPERS, AND FENDERS

Reducing weight over the nose of the vehicle lowers the overall center of gravity, enhances front-to-rear weight distribution, and improves cornering turn-in. Overall weight reduction by use of carbon fiber for much of the body enhances the power-to-weight ratio.

CARBON-FIBER ROOF

Reducing the weight of the roof brings the GT-R NISMO’s center of mass lower, enhancing stability, adding cornering grip, and providing flatter cornering.

CARBON-FIBER TRUNK LID

Employing carbon fiber for the trunk lid adds stiffness, while weighing around half as much as a standard trunk lid.

GT-R challenges the status quo

Its underbody is virtually covered by composite panels, giving it a flat, aerodynamic surface unlike the average car.

At the front of the car, the flat underbody is accelerating the air and channeling it over the brakes, cooling them down.

At the rear of the car, a carbon-fiber diffuser takes that accelerated air and slows it down, creating a vacuum effect that helps GT-R connect to the road, while a duct in the diffuser helps cool the titanium exhaust.

VDC, TRANSMISSION, AND SUSPENSION SETUP SWITCHES

NORMAL MODE

For daily driving, choose Normal Mode, which sets the transmission, suspension, and VDC for a smooth, refined ride.

R-MODE

R-Mode is for maximum performance. It sets the transmission for the quickest shifts and adjusts the suspension, shocks, and Vehicle Dynamic Control system for high-performance handling.

SPECIAL MODES

Use Save Mode for long-distance driving and gentler torque delivery on slippery surfaces. In Comfort Mode, the damping force of the shock absorbers is variably adjusted for more comfort. Off Mode disengages the VDC system.

GT-R BOSE PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM

Designed exclusively for the GT-R, the 11-speaker Bose Premium Audio System features dual woofers between the rear seats, employing the trunk as a giant bass enclosure. 

To keep the sound powerful and clean, two separate amplifiers are used — one for the dual subwoofers and the other for the 9 speakers throughout the cabin. 

The rear-center woofers and door speakers are mounted in rigid aluminum die-cast panels, which improve sound quality, especially tight bass sounds.
